AW2 Can extract maps from save??

Hi, just want to ask, i have created some map with the game editor, and want to extract and edit externally, but dont know what to do, or which tool to use to read save file..

There's no easy way to grab a save file map and turn it into an editor map - the two are in pretty different formats and no one's written a converter.

You might have to just start fresh in the external editor.

Do you mean that save maps are not made like roms ones?? The map editor hacker edition will not achieve this process??

Problem is i can read the maps in save file using hex editor, but cant edit for some reason if do some change to the tile values the map get corrupted.
What im missing??

For example this is some map format:

Each save file block has a checksum. In AW2 each 0x1000 byte block is handled separately and the first few bytes contain the checksum. AW1 should be similar.

If the checksum is incorrect (e.g. you've edited map bytes), then the game thinks that the data has been corrupted.

Just have edited the tile bytes, that will also affect checksum?? And how to solve that??

Yeah, that affects the checksum.

You'll need to calculate a new checksum if you want the game to load it (and replace it in the save).
