Help Editing Campagine Maps

Post by RadioShadow » Thu Oct 27, 2005 3:09 am

I was wondering is there anyway to edit the campagine maps in Advance Wars 2. I want to do this so I can add my own diolog to a map I have made so if there is a way to edit the maps in campagine mode then I can easily change the diolog. Any sergestions on how to do.

Well, we don't know very much about the campaign map code yet.

So, it will be possible *eventually*, but it'll be a long time.

What, like Cleanup HC? *Looks at Homemade Cleanup HC*

Well, that sucks.

Well, as it is now, it's possible to edit the dialogue of the missions, however, I don't know about changing who says what line... So, you'd be restricted to the order that everyone talks in now, and depending on how much you want to mess with pointers you may be limited to how many letters and spaces are currently used.

However, maps are practically untouchable for the time being. Even if we knew how to get to them, there's a little problem that we'd be editing the maps via hex digits and not a graphical interface.
