Right now headphones don't hurt more than usual. I'm already acquainted with the headaches and the likes, also general tiredness.

I'm more worried about the fact that it might not heal up, seeing the reaction of my doctor.

I'm no expert, but based on what Kanzer said heavy soundwaves might hinder it healing up? I advise looking up some information on that, or maybe he can clarify it.

I don't really know, I'm doing as little as I can with it and hope it heals soon. I hate not being able to actually do anything about it.

Good news: I went to see a specialist today and my eardrum isn't actually perforated!

Bad news: My ear was just plugged that bad that my doc mistook it for a hole in my eardrum, and I have my doubts that it is still malformed 'cos the cleaning stinged, and now my ear itches. Nowhere near as bad as I thought it was, but still annoying.

Sounds like something that will heal on it's own after cleaning though. Glad you're mostly okay.
And now I really feel like I should clean my ears soon, I tend to wait a bit too long.

If it was a bad plug, it's likely to feel a bit off for a day or two. I'm glad to know it wasn't so bad!

It's generally a bad idea to stick things into your ear canals. There's no real need to "clean" them either, the gunk that's in there is there for a reason and pretty much cleans itself

I'll stick to the doc's advice. Qtips are evil, ear spray's useless. Humid tissues and nothing more. Ear's still itching.

Mom be dumping dem Qtips in the trash already.

Q-tip is a brand. It just got so popular that in many places they're the defacto name for cotton swabs.

A bit like those (weird) people that call all sodas coke, or those poor misguided parents that call all videogames "nintendoes".

Oh good, we are officially down to no permanent internet.

There's a fault somewhere between the exchange and our house. ISP has confirmed it is Telstra's fault, Telstra is blaming everyone else.

Summary: No reliable internet. FFS.

On Monday a man was walking his dog through a forested area near where I live. He found a dead baby in a black plastic bag with the cord still attached, possibly stillborn. Everyone's trying to find the mother but she's not showing. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but it's fudge horrendous and I hate seeing police everywhere. I can't believe it's so close.

I live in student accommodation so it's very likely the mother is a neighbour...

I lost a friend that would have been a true bro for life. I was betrayed once way back by someone just as important, thought I would never fully recover. Kinda did.

I don't see it happening twice /=

I'm going to be so devastated when the reality starts to sink in. And he is going to spend his life so utterly alone, since I was pretty much his one true friend. Or so I thought.

Okay so this could potentially be taken in the wrong way, but I really, really don't want it to be. Don't sound the alarm, come tracking me down or anything like that. Hear me out.

I want to kill myself. It's not that I'm unhappy or anything - in fact I'd say that I'm the happiest I've been for some time - it's more that I honestly don't want to exist. I can enjoy life as much as I want, but that doesn't mean I want to be alive. To give an example, think of your favourite videogame. Your all-time top game. Would you want to play it forever and do nothing else? Probably not. I enjoy a lot of things about life, but I can never really answer why I enjoy them at a low level. "I loved the story in that movie. For some reason that matters to me."

Literally the only thing that stops me from doing anything is guilt. I have few friends, but I cherish them. I also cherish some people I've only ever interacted with on the internet, and the last thing I want is a collection of fudge RIP topics/blogs/pages/whatevers to my name. I don't want anyone to hurt, because if I care enough to cherish them that means I care enough for live for them. That's why I probably won't end up killing myself. I'm stuck between my conscience and my desire to just not exist.

It probably doesn't help that recently I've had some blood tests come back and it doesn't look good. 4 years of anti-depressants, anti-psychotics and sleeping medication means that my liver is screaming for relief. I haven't really drunk alcohol for a couple of years now (a pint a week maybe until I stopped totally last month) but they're going on about a transplant. I feel like my body is screaming for the end. Funny, the meds they put me on to stop me killing myself are doing the job for me. For sciencey types, as of 4th March my "plasma ALT level" is at 140 when it's supposed to be 10-45. It was at just over 100 in December. I've got another test coming back next week.

What's fudge scary is that my dad had exactly the same thing shortly before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. fudge fudge fudge fudge fudge!!!!

omfg

I partly chose to write this to help organise thoughts in my head, but all this has done is set my anxiety whirling and made me realise how monumentally fudge I am.

ah, the cheery suicidal feeling. that's my fav kind. much better than melancholy or anger. well i don't recommend killing yourself in a non overkill fashion, as if you'll survive you'll piss off about 30% of the people in your life and make the rest feel extremely uncomfortable talking to you

I have a colleague who works in forensics. They had to help determine why a room was covered in blood and the victim had multiple bullets lodged in their head. Turns out it was a suicide but the gunshots were not fatal until the fourth or so. The first few times the person crawled around the room trying to find the gun to try again.

Let me know if you need more stories to put you off.

Was it a low caliber? To be perfectly honest if guns were legal and/or easy to get here I'd be long gone. I think that's the other thing aside from upsetting people - there is like no painless and risk-free method at all.

People have survived shotgun shots to the face from point blank range which is usually not pretty even if you do survive.

I'm no suicide expert but gun to the head like in the movies is so not how I would do it.
