Broken Maps

Post by ALAKTORN » Sat Mar 27, 2010 10:27 am

I wanted to make a topic about huge disadvantageous maps, it has no point and isn't useful but I was just curious about them, I'll post my strategy for one of them first, even if it's just an advantage and not really a broken map:

Cut-Grass Isle FTA Tabitha/Larissa (I guess other COs are ok, but I think it works better with Tabitha) opening:
D1: build from top to bottom Infantry, Recon and Infantry
D2: capture Cities with Infantry, put Recon 1E of N Infantry, build Tank
D3: finish capturing, CO the Tank and build Bike from middle Factory

after this you should be able to capture the 2 remaining neutral N cities with Inf+Bike, and if P2 counters Recon with Tank you can attack it for zone

we thought Portal Bridge was P1 certain win with D1 2 Infs D4 Duster+TC HQ rush, but P2 can double Duster counter it even if P1 is Tabitha; but it still is an assured win on random Wi-Fi because it's unexpected

There is a list of maps on the second page of the Tiers topic.

mhm, thanks for telling but I think that list might not be very precise, at least I don't see how Spectacle Map is playable xD

edit: that list also considers Cut-Grass Isle 'virtually even' lol, in my opinion it's playable but FTA

It's outdated. I don't think it's been revisited for balance since then.

It hasn't, it is grossly out of date.

Best list to look at would be Gip's trimmed RWifi list - that's the best of the bunch.
