Here's a strategy for a 419pt 6Day T35 - Center River, since I didn't see anyone post a high scoring strategy.

Day 1:
Recon on S base

Recon 2S 3E
APC on S base
Inf on W base

Day 3:
Recon 1S 5E
load Inf in APC
APC 2S 4E
Recon on W base
Artillery on S base

Day 4:
S Recon 2N

Delta Angelfire has 450 in six days there.

It can be *beaten* in 5 days, but Power can't quite be managed in that time.

I have a different strategy for T11 - Star Islands too, same score and day though.

Day 1:
Inf on bottom two bases

Day 2:
Cap both airports

Day 3:
Finish Capturing

Day 4:
N inf 1S 2E cap city
S inf 1S 2E cap port
BCopter on N airport
TCopter on S airport

Day 5:
Finish Capturing
Load CO into BCopter and move 6E
TCopter 2E 2S

Day 6:
Load N inf into TCopter
BCopter 3N 3E
TCopter 6E
BCopter on S airport

Day 7:
TCopter 6E and drop inf S
Destroy TCopter with CO BCopter
W BCopter 6E

Day 8:
Start Capturing HQ
TCopter 1N 3W
CO BCopter should pass by the base, and destroy the TCopter
Other BCopter should attack inf

Day 9:
Destroy inf
Finish HQ Capture

It is technically possible to clear this on day 7 because one of the stupid infantries ran away from me. Ugh. But then I got 7/410 because both power and technique dropped (but my speed went up to 130).


Something wrong here? I had this at 8 days as well and my speed was 130.
Got the same overall score with 130 speed 139 Power 143 Tech. 143 tech is max? since I didn't lose anything and you can't build anything.

EDIT: nevermind, just realized it was 7 days not 8.
EDIT2: Scrap that, got 130/147/143. I'm not sure about the 3 extra power. Perhaps I need to save/load a bit to get highest possible damage every time. But if it's something to do with 1HKOing 1 more thing, then I think speed will suffer by 10 points making it not worth it overall. Still unsure how you could possibly get 150 tech though. 150 speed is also 5 days I think so...not sure about that also.

Woot figured it out.

T13 - V for Victory

Speed: 130
Power: 150
Technique: 150
Total: 430 in 7 Days

Day 1: Load CO into artillery and move 3N; Far left and right mechs 2N; Infantry 3N; Move tanks above mechs; Move md tanks into middle below artillery and infantry; Remaining mechs both 1N

Day 2: Artillery destroy tank; Right tank (5HP) join with left tank (6HP); Move 2 right mechs to destroy tank; SW mech NW onto mountain

Day 3: Mech on right mountain destroy recon; Damaged mech 2S; Infantry 1E; Tank onto HQ; Leftmost mech destroy 6HP mech

Day 4: 6HP mech join with 7HP mech on left side; Artillery destroy 7HP blue mech; 3HP mech join with 7HP mech on right side; tank destroy closest yellow mech; Both md tanks destroy both remaining 6HP mechs

Day 5: Artillery destroy 7HP mech; 7HP mech on right mountain destroy 5HP mech

Day 6: Left md tank destroy infantry; Artillery destroy closest blue mech; Right md tank destroy 8HP blue mech; tank 2N; Move both 3HP mechs towards centre SE and SW

Day 7: DO NOT USE CO POWER; Artillery and md tank destroys yellow's remaining units; tank and md tank destroys blue's infantry

I'm not sure how clear the instructions are or whether the AI will act the same because I haven't bothered to go back and check it yet. I've done this with the same score loading the CO into the medium tank as well obviously moving a little differently.

The key to the high power is to keep your mechs and tanks in such a position that the enemy can attack as many of your units as possible on their turn so you can attack for the 1HKO on your turn. But never put them in a position where they can be attacked twice and die. Medium tanks should be kept healthy as a leveled up one in CO zone can do 100%+ to the infantry which is useful later on.

Now this is the clincher. I wondered why our tech scores was always 143 even though we didn't lose any units. I found out it was because of the CO power. Using the CO power took the technique down to 143, not using it gave me the 150. That's something else to add to our knowledge of the ratings.

Anyway, this may not even be the max. I'm not sure how many units you need to 1HKO to get the max power score because I pretty much 1HKOed all but 2 of the units. If there's some leeway in this, I may be able to be a little more aggressive and finish in 6 days. Others are welcome to try though, building on this since I'm a little tired of this map for now.

This begs the question... does combining units increase technique?

By the way, how exactly can you attach Isabella to an artillery? Not enough funds.

I doubt it since my tech was always 143 when I used the CO power. In some I combined more than others. For instance in that last one, I didn't bother to combine the remaining 2 3HP mechs whereas in a previous game I only had 1 mech remaining after combining all of them.

At Least I'm pretty sure damage on units does not decrease tech so ending the game with damaged units instead of full HP ones would just be an extension of that and hence should also not affect tech.

Oops...I realized I still had the infinite money cheat on the AR after testing on other maps. Damn. I guess it's possible to try with the CO in the infantry. I'll give it another go.

Rushed the HQ with a rig, a t-copter, and a bomber, while using a mech to bait an enemy mech to 7HP so that the bomber could finish it off. However, the day-to-day fails because it requires the AI to build three recons in a row, which is something I haven't been able to duplicate after the first time. Maybe I lucked out here.

The bomber gets exactly one kill and the t-copter got destroyed because it had to protect the capping infantry. Regardless, I maxed the score.

Well I managed in 6 days but consequently tech dropped for some unknown reason. Ended up with 143 tech so final score of 433 which is highest so far. I have no idea why tech dropped...

Why don't you try playing without the AR on period, since it may skew the results. Also try playing C2 again without the AR and see if you can reproduce the 57 -> 70% damage thing. :roll:

It was just to test some stuff on another map anyway and it was only the money cheat so it didn't affect C2 at all. I redid T13 without it and got 430 and 433 with the CO in the infantry so you can check that.

400 is definitely possible on C2. I can't be bothered save loading for that 57% for 7 damage but even if that isn't possible, you can definitely counterattack the tank for 1HP of damage, then KO with the artillery. Someone posted that they managed to do it for 400 points.

Nicely done. I confirmed the strategy.

EDIT: I have a new perfect score.

T24 - Wedding Ring - 10 days - 450 pts

Three units were built: Infantry, Duster, T-copter in that order. I lost the T-copter dropping off the Infantry, but it worked overall.

A faster capture may be possible, but the B-copter gets in your way if you don't have the Duster deployed.

I just did it (450, 10 days) and killed three T-Copters (one in one hit with a 94% chance when the Duster was Level 1) and weakened a B-Copter to 2 HP.

I also didn't even lose the T-Copter, as it turned out.

Still can't get it. It all depends on how soon the enemy builds the AA and how many they build. Which may also depend on where you move the duster during the turns when you are building the T-copter and loading the infantry into it. I only managed 147 power on my best run. That might have been the "perfect" game except I think my power may have been lowered when I attacked the B-copter but didn't kill it having only killed 2 T-copters before that.

In my case, the enemy built a B-Copter, then only T-Copters and infantry. There may have been an anti-air right on the last day.

I probably just got lucky with build order there, though.

I don't see Metro Island up there, T4. I think it's an older map renamed, seems familiar (For some reason, I think it may have been Bean Island, but I don't actually remember what that legendary map looks like.) Anyway, I got an A rank, 278 on it, nothing to brag about but for ME it's something to brag about, cuz I'm really bad at this game. >_>

I don't remember what I did, but I managed to beat it. In 35 days, too! >_> <_<

I'll update the first post now.

This cannot be a coincidence. Here are the time limits for the 150-pt score, and the time limits for the 100-pt score.

Note: The "impossible" 150-pt scores were determined by comparing them to a map with a similar time limit. For example, 9 days on a map with a 100-pt time limit of 10 days yields 110 points. Finishing maps with an "impossible" score in 9 days gives the same score.

Extreme Edge - 5 days - 10 days
Star Islands - 5 days - 10 days
V for Victory - 5 days - 10 days
Ground Clash - 6 days - 12 days
Slime Cove - 5 days - 10 days
Wedding Ring - 10 days - 20 days
Resistance - 5 days - 10 days
Missile - 5 days - 10 days

Obviously, more testing is needed, but it's starting to seem that the 150-pt score is half the time limit for the 100-pt score. Triangle Lake has a 100-pt limit of 16 days. If my guess is correct, the 150-pt score must be 8 days. Now, someone needs to complete that map in 8 days to confirm my guess.

T34: Web River - 44 days - 335

126 Speed, 109 Power, 100 Technique.

Taking Isabella's HQ proved simple, though maybe I just got lucky. I note that there are woods exactly three spaces away from each of the enemy HQs, it may be possible to take advantage of this for quicker HQ captures than what I managed. Instead, I basically built a whole lot of tanks, trudged my way to Brenner's HQ and happened to take it at the same time that I sent a lot of tanks to the area, then sent a ridiculous number of tanks to Lin's section.

This is a really annoying map, it takes days before any of the units you build get to the front lines.

Everything here is exact. If you deviate, then there is less of a chance that the AI will follow the build order.

Day 1: Infantry
Day 2: Infantry 1N 2E, rig
Day 3: Load infantry into rig and move 1N 2E 2N 1W, mech
Day 4: Rig 4W unload W, mech 1N 1W
Day 5: Infantry caps airport, mech 2W, rig 1E 2S 1E
Day 6: Infantry finishes cap, load mech into rig and move 5W
Day 7: Infantry 2W, rig 1S 1W 2S, t-copter
Start day 8
If AI did not build a recon, restart. Saving before day 8 will not change it.
Day 8: Load t-copter and move 5S, bomber
Start day 9
If AI did not build a recon, restart.
Day 9: Bomber 7S, rig 3S unload E, t-copter 2W 2S
Start day 10
If AI did not build a recon, restart.
Day 10: T-Copter 4S 1E unload W, bomber destroys damaged infantry
Day 11: Start capping HQ, move bomber 1E of infantry
Day 12: Finish capping

The chance of this happening is very unlikely, but now that I've done it twice, I can say that it's possible. Good luck, you'll need it, since I needed around 30 attempts. 11 days is impossible because there is absolutely no way you can protect the infantry that early. Therefore, I think it's a max score.

EDIT: It's a damaged infantry, not a damaged mech

I just ran through T17 (Coast Assualt) and only got 365 points out of it, but what interested me was two things:

1) Technique was only 128 points, even though none of my units were ever attacked (any idea here?).

2) How Power came out 150 points:

EDIT: I have a better idea and probably how Power works. Look in a later post.

I think the AI needs to build a mech somewhere before Day 8 for that to work, not sure exactly when.

Getting a plain old 12-day win wasn't very hard, though, as you can hit the anti-air with the mech and bomber to destroy it. However, I wound up short on Power this way.

Edit: I was refering to Whirl Peaks, to be clear. I have 406 in 12 days there now.

T35: Center River - 5 days - 450

Following the "one-hit kills boost Power" theory, I did the following.

Day 1: Rig in south base, infantry in west.
Day 2: Load infantry into rig, move rig 2S 4E. Build anti-air.
Day 3: Move rig 1S 5E. Drop east. Move anti-air 1W of north bridge.
Day 4: Begin capturing HQ, move rig 1N of HQ. Move anti-air to bridge on east side of central island.
Day 5: Save. Attack infantry on plains with anti-air; reload if you don't destroy it in one hit. Finish capturing HQ.

This got a perfect 450 in minimum time.

Edit: By contrast, if I build a Flare to uncover the capturing Bike and have the anti-air attack it twice, I get 144 Power.

This goes against Unkown1800's theory, and in favor of the "one-hit kills" theory.

Yes, clearly that's not the whole story.

Maybe Power and Technique are something like, 100 points for one condition, and 50 points for a different one?

if with C2 you mean the 2nd mission of campaign, i got 400, do you want the strat?

For T16 Pentagram, I got 10/379. I saved up for a bomber, took out the approaching megatank first, then took out everything else. Also, I used the b-copter to take out the tank & the infantry in the bottom-right.

Could've gotten better if I hadn't been sloppy with the anti-tank. Meh.

Use a mech and CO unit copter to take out the anti-tank. As for building a bomber, a copter is faster and can still do good damage when loaded into a unit.

Just did Pentagram again, did it in 7 days and got

Only power is keeping this down. Any suggestions? I usually make a b copter as soon as I can, then load it with the CO the next day. I'm having trouble getting OHKOs for power..
