WWN Character Battle 2012 - R1B3: Traynor vs. Isabella

Post by HPD » Thu Jun 28, 2012 8:46 am

Already we're at round number three of the Character Battle 2012. Enjoying it so far? I surely am. But I won't bore you with small talk and get straight to the point. I have two cool ladies for you today: Samantha Traynor from Mass Effect 3 and Isabella from the unfortunately still latest edition of the Advance Wars series: Days of Ruin.

Oh yeah you can still vote in Lucca vs. Giana for two days if you haven't done so yet!

(3) Samantha Traynor

Mass Effect 3

Gentleman of Dread consented to write this particular part, buuuut as I very well could have known he's nowhere to be found. He'd better make up for that with Kelly Chambers >:( (for which he has less than 48 hours, mind!)... Anyway, Samantha Traynor is the Comm specialist in Mass Effect 3, a role similar to the one Kelly Chambers (also in this contest) had in the previous installment of this popular series. Notable about Traynor is that she's openly lesbian and therefore will only ship with female Shepard. And she likes strategy games (chess in particular), but so do we all I think ;).

Romantic moments with Shepard <3 (this vid is basically all you need, mild spoiler worries though I guess)

(6) Isabella

The second representative of the AW franchise is dear Isabella from Days of Ruin. At first, not much is known of her. She's found by Will and appears to have lost her memory, though somehow she posseses all kinds of military information. She joins up with Will and Brenner's Wolves and is throughout the campaign pretty much only used as a plot device (a big letdown, imo). She is of course useable in some trial maps and multiplayer games in which she's pretty overpowered.

Now, I would link to a few videos to promote her character, but all I found was her theme music amongst a few hundred Juigi videos (no, seriously), so sadly that's all you get out of me.

"As for FE8, that was IS' variant of Man Spam - Dudes with Swords edition." - Xenesis

And the first AW victim in the tournament makes themselves known.

Or at least, I'm voting for Traynor.

I never played DoR. On the other hand, I romanced Traynor. And even my male Shep befriended her. She's a very interesting character. I love how the two homosexual characters in ME3 do not have homosexuality as the main facet of their personality and they are just awesome characters in their own right who happen to be homosexual.

haven't played me3 yet but isabella is such a painfully boring bad character that i have to abstain from this one

also who is kelly chambers i played me2 from beginning to end but i don't remember her at all

edit: screw it anti-voting isabella because lash somehow beat bayonetta, how did that happen, almost all the posts in the topic were positive for bayonetta

not going to let such an atrocity happen again

People feel ashamed of preferring Lash and stay silent. They fudge should.

Never played ME (send me money or copies of the game and I'll gladly fix that), but Isabella is... well, she's dull as ditchwater. Abstain.
