Unused Cruiser Animation

Post by Xenesis » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:01 pm

Turns out the Cruiser was probably going to shoot land units at some stage.

Does it use the same animation to attack tanks and stuff?

Yes fal, you've got a good sense of style, you're clean shaven, and the cat on your head dares not move itself.

This opens up the question of other hidden animations...a lateral bomber! A battleship with torpedos! A Md. Tank that shoots rockets!

I was going to post this in the AW1 thread in the Syogun Change forum, but you beat me to it.

Cruisers use this animation (somewhat) correctly vs. land units. However, if you make their missiles attack land units, you'll find that the missiles are replaced with gray blobs (likely palette glitches), and that a cruiser that just fired a missile (if attacked by a land unit), will have glitchy looking "missiles" (that seem like they're suspended in midair) near the main body of the ship when the enemy tank is attacking.
