Attendance? You mean in AWBW matches?
I'd already as good as lost in both of my recent matches when I went inactive; call it ennui. :P

I can assure you that for something like the campaign I'll make all of my battles. Besides, the work involved in CICing is considerably less onerous than actually playing the game.

Yugi, you can be a merc. Merc spots are open as long as COs may be selected.

Sven, you've got Bean Island 2x redone twice there.

Other than that, looks like a reasonable enough list.

And that's why having teams of four can be a pain in the arse: potential voting deadlocks. I'm going to abandon my principles in an attempt to break the system and vote for myself. If Kiltman votes for me, then we get to laugh at Sven trying to resolve a deadlock. :P

Yay for the mercs all being broken. *sighs*

Anyways, I have an issue with a few of the maps.

1 on 1: M-m-m-mech Rush!
Fresh Meat: No FTA counter.
Pheasent: Severe FTA. (There was a whole topic on it)
Dizziness and Bos: Way too big for a campaign setting.

I believe the counter for Fresh Meat is the position of the neutral bases.

I believe that just because you as a player are not suited to play these maps, it does not mean that players as a whole will not enjoy these maps. I have received plenty of wonderful comments about Dizziness and Bos, that is strictly an opinion there. Bigger maps =/= longer games, the capturing phases mean a lot more and people are more likely to resign early. 1 on 1 is a very good test of how one can handle various capturing phases, as well as the ability to use infantry to attack mechs. Honestly, if you resort to purely mech rushing on this map, you really aren't too good. Pheasant, if you think there's FTA, you are a noob. There is no reason that one side will get both bases. Absolutely none. There is no be all end all strat for BM to get everything. The only reason one side will have both bases is incomptence on the part of the GE player. Fresh Meat has an FTA counter in property positioning and etc.

As usual, Sven sells out. :P

I'm not too keen on Pheasant either, but more because it's a very boring map than because of any balance issues. And big maps are generally bad no matter what, but I'll reserve my judgement for now.

With this many mercenaries, especially with their very powerful COs, I think we need to revise the way that money works.

User avatar
Sven

Post by Sven » Thu Jul 27, 2006 11:18 am

It is going to be revised Terr, don't worry about it. Mercs are going to be cheaper in general, and money is going to be more set and less based on map.

One question:
Silifi wrote:When you and another CO are both on a map, you will have to begin combat. On neutral territory, the person who was there first is considered the defender.
So what if both armies arrive at the same time?
