2v2 match, any takers welcome

Post by Terragent » Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:13 pm

So yeah, I want to have the fun of a multi-player game without any of the infinitely frustrating politics that free-for-all turn-based games generate. Any map, any players, all but the broken three COs, although I'd prefer a lower-powered game. Join - you know you want to.

Yes fal, you've got a good sense of style, you're clean shaven, and the cat on your head dares not move itself.
You look awesome. - Shift Breaker

I swear, you two are the worst couple ever. You've somehow managed to PDA on the internet through text. - Xenesis

Awright, I'm fairly sure that Fal and DTK are the better two players (no offence to Frosty), so we probably ought to split the teams so the skill is even.

A coin flip puts me with Fal and Frosty with DTK. I'm more than willing to swap that, of course. :P

Hehe, let's ignore the fact that Frosty beat me in our last game. ;)

Although those teams seem alright to me tbh.

I'd rather pretend that it's two teams of one highly skilled person and one less skilled person than a team of a highly skilled person and a less skilled person against a team of two highly skilled people. :P

My victory was a miracle and the map's fault, it shouldn't be considered to determinate skill >____>.

Anyway, I approve these teams. We just need to find a map.

I'm open to any suggestions. I'll start looking but I'm not really conversant with balance.

EDIT: Preliminary, uncertain suggestion: Glory Islands?

I don't like Glory Islands. Seems too...plain and boring. The battle is consisted mostly by you building bboats with infantries to try to capture the bases and then killing each other to get the island. Nothing special.

Do you people want a 2 vs 2 map where both players work together (as in, their HQs are extremely close to each other and their bases are all over the place?) or where the players are independent? I am feeling like looking for a map and I know a few ones that may prove to be interesting, but I need to know if you prefer the players together or independant.

I prefer independance, but I'll go with the majority view.

I'd go for the 2nd or 5th ones on that list. Although the 4th one could be interesting too.

The fourth one is just... no. Way too chokey. Even the fifth is kinda close. I do like the fourth, though. Biiiig brawl in the middle.

...I am confused here, Terr <_<;.

Yeah, I know 4th is chokey. I honestly put it there just to get some comments XD.

I also prefer either 2 or 5. 2 if you want independant armies and 5 if you want more teamwork. I am fine with either of them.

The fifth is just a bit too close for my liking... plus all ground heavily favours meatshield stalemates.

EDIT: Game made on map 2.

Name: WWN 2v2
Password: juggernaut

CO bans listed on the game. In addition, each team can only have one mass damage CO. 'Mass damage' in this case includes Rachel and Kindle but does not include Sturm or Von Bolt.

EDIT EDIT: Fal & I are the A-team. DTK is YC, Fal is BM.

Well, all it would take is for Terr to take his turn.

HINT HINT.

Wait... IIRC Frosty posted on AWBW saying he wouldn't have the time/energy to do his turns...

Looks like it's just you and me. >_>

<_<

I did resign, didn't I?

Well, in theory, Terr is still on, so it would be unfair for me to resign and then see as it become a 2vs1 match.

So, I just ended my turn to make things even with me and Terr. If he plays I will play, if he gets booted I will resign.
