And just to rub salt into the wound, I didn't get the job I was interviewing for the day after.

Stressed as fudge about uni project due in about a week and a half, currently way behind schedule. Not that big a deal, it only counts for 25% of my final degree result, so no pressure or anything.

Edit:
Been thinking lately that uni has been a bit of a waste of time for me, I feel like I haven't really learned much in the last 4 years that I couldn't quite easily have taught myself, given the vast range of material available online. I'd also argue that by having to devote so much time to uni assignments and the like, I've had very little time to devote to working on personal projects that would help me stand out more in interviews. Sure, some of the uni assignments can be repurposed for use as part of a portfolio, but I feel like I could have done so much more with the last 4 years than that.

My antidepressants also don't seem to be helping much with the complete lack of motivation for uni work, hence being behind schedule for this project. I enjoy the subject material, but I found it a lot easier to stay motivated when I was teaching myself and learning as I go. I feel like half the classes are wasting my time because I could actually be applying the knowledge rather than sitting through lectures about it. I'm a quick learner, I can pick up what I need to know when I need it, rather than staring at a powerpoint about something I have no need for now and forgetting it all by the time I do actually have a use for it.

My wifi has decided to dive to very, very low speeds for the past day or so. (It's ziggo, not that I decided that provider...) Grumpyness ensues.

In the grander scheme of things there's a good chance the contract my company has will run out and I'm not super sure my prospects in this area are great haha

Turned out it was a misunderstanding about when the wifi contract would expire(a housemate is moving). At least the wifi next door is still decent. I always had access to that one, but only recently was that updated to not be extremely poor.

I check this place a few times a day to see if there's anything going on. I'm 95% of the time checking on mobile though, which makes posting mostly too much effort.

Antidepressants dose increased because they weren't doing anything. Still haven't finished project which is now over two weeks late, which means that unless they take into account personal circumstances it's going to be subject to a 30% penalty. Id I don't pass the project I need to resit the year. Girlfriend is out playing board games with her friends from uni and I'm sitting at home alone, jealous of the fact that this is the third time she's been out with friends this week while I only get to see her once a fortnight. Also feeling guilty because I know how stupid and petty that sounds. To make it sound even pettier, I'm actually somewhat upset about the fact that when she mentioned she was playing board games with friends from uni, she joked about me and our mutual friends here being replaced.

I also now feel old because this website is over half my age.

Probably none of you know or remember me, but I've been a part of this website for almost 11 years now, and I've gotta say I never really thought of it as anything more than Advance Wars discussion and hacking. I am pretty sure I found this place through the now defunct "awbunker" and I remember coming here and everybody seemed like they had their crumpets together and feeling like I was a drain on the community, but my god if Syogun Change didn't interest me to no end. I would browse it every day for months at a time, forget about it, then do it all again a few months later, and continue that cycle for years. Even now, every once in a while I'll get a clean ROM and make a quick "hack" and change stuff, beat the campaign and hard campaign and forget about it.

I've been doing that less and less now, and this place is becoming more nostalgic for me every day. It's sad, really. What's even more sad is that I came here first when I was so young, and even though it is the internet and just a forum, this place was such a huge part of my life and I really regret not getting to know many of you, especially the veterans. But now something that was such a huge part of my life and a huge passion of mine during my teenage years, is becoming more of just a fond memory. Nostalgia is the perfect word; I miss the drive I would get coming home from school and seeing a new post in Syogun Change, especially from Xenesis, x0_000, RadioShadow, and... I forget his name now but I think it was Kireato or something? He had the MSN Ninja emoticon as his profile picture. There's probably more of you that I'm forgetting, and I'm sorry.

All this being said, I'm not leaving and I'll still be in and out (not that it matters to most of you), but it makes me sad to think how far this place has drifted from my life.

Damn man, time flies.
